The Enterprise & Development Consultants Co., Ltd (or EDC) is a Lao private professional Business and Management Consulting company. Our vision is “to be a leading and professional consulting firm in business and management in Lao PDR”. Our mission is “to raise latent entrepreneurial and managerial competency of Lao businesses, communities and organizations in order to be increasingly competitive and seamlessly integrate into regional and international arenas”.
Established in 1999 and currently managed by four Managing Partners, EDC has provided a wide range of consultancy and training mainly in the field of organization management and development, project cycle management, private sector development, small and medium enterprises creation and management and value chain development. In 19 years of providing services, EDC has been developing a strong relationship with clients in public and private sectors as well as the donor organizations.
EDC has been involving with BDS Network (Business Development Service) with other members under the cooperation with Department of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Commerce Lao PDR. In addition, EDC has also been engaging as Center of Excellence (CoE) member of VCB Network (Value-chain Capacity Building), a regional professional and practitioner of value chain development project initiated by IFAD and implemented HELVETAS Swiss Inter-cooperation and Hivos.

EDC is one of few training providers, in the field of training, which provides skill-based training, using participatory methodologies. Most of our training courses are designed based on experiential learning principles and maximize practices for participants. We tailor made the training course to response need of our clients. Our consultants have been certified trainers in several programs such as the well-known GIZ CEFE, ILO SYB and IYB etc.
Over years since establishment, in the field of research, our expertise in running socio-economic researches and surveys has been developed strongly. Our surveys and researches are known for quality, efficiency and Internet-based technology application. Our significant research clients are WB, ADB, WFP, SNV, and WWF etc.
