International Training Program on Pro-Poor Value Chain and Market System Development
Institute of Livelihood Research and Training (ILRT) is organizing “International Training Program on Pro-Poor Value Chain and Market System Development” with the support of Value Chain Capacity Building Network – VCB-N and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), scheduled to be held via online on 8th to 16th March, 2021.
About the Course
The curriculum on Pro-poor Value Chain and Market System has been developed by VCB-N with the support of Helvetas & Hivos and member CoEs after rigorous training need assessment of project staff members of IFAD projects in Asia & Pacific level including India. VCB-N conducted series of training of trainers (ToTs) to build capacity of professionals of CoEs on organizing training for staff members of IFAD projects. The practical experience of VC & MSD included by ILRD based on long experience of knowledge building and dissemination on value chain development including value chain interventions made with BASIX and outside agencies. Who should attend the Program
The curriculum target IFAD project staff members and professionals who are involved in decision making, planning and designing value chain and market system development interventions under Agri-horti, Agri-allied sectors such as dairy, goatery, poultry, fishery, piggery and forestry sectors and other value-added production.

About ILRT
Institute of Livelihood Research and Training (ILRT) is an academic institution promoted by BASIX Social Enterprise Group, India with the mandate to build and disseminate knowledge on livelihood and related issues in India and outside. ILRT is Centre of Excellence (CoE) under Value Chain Capacity Building Network (VCB-N) which is promoted by IFAD to provide advisory services and capacity building support to IFAD projects on Pro-poor Value Chain and Market System Development (VC&MSD) in Asia & Pacific regions.
Training Fees
There would be no fees for the participants nominated by IFAD Projects. All other participants need to pay USD 150 per participant for attending the training program. The Indian participants need to pay Rs.10,000/- per participant including GST.
